I decided to come back to this subject as many businesses are suffering more now and their owners are looking for solutions despirately. I have spent more than 14 years in the field and the most of the business owners I worked with they became also my friends. Watching them sinking into stress, loosing their focus forced me to write this article.
First of all STOP PANICKING!!! What do you believe it would accomplish? Drive your energy to find solutions instead of constantly worrying about the lack of business. All successful business people around the globe, like Warren Buffet, Robert Kiyosaki, Bill Gates etc… they agree to a common conclusion. The communication with customers has changed once and for all. It’s critical for any company to apply effective marketing campaigns during the economic downturn as customers buying habits have changed. You have to shuffle the cards around and use the recession as an opportunity to cut the edges and sharpen your marketing message.
When you considering your marketing campaign it’s very important to update your website and USE THE SOCIAL NETWORKS to campaign your business like twitter, Facebook, Linkedin etc….I am not claiming that you have to become an online guru in order to keep your business alive. Traditional offline marketing can be also as effective today as it was in the past. So apply a strategy by mixing online and offline business in a creative way.
Most companies they decided to reduce their marketing costs because of the recession. This is colossal mistake! Now is the time to increase your marketing efforts in order to keep your existing customers and attract new ones.
