How to understand what Brand is….and how to use it

Unfortunately few companies and fewer entrepreneurs understand what brand really is, so I will try to explain it in a simple way. I will start with what brand isn’t. There is a misconception that brand is the logo of the company. It’s not. The logo of the company defines company’s activities but is not a brand. A company becomes successful when manages to associate into the consumers mind their logo with thoughts, memories and feelings attached to it. This is a challenging mission and takes some time. If you are an entrepreneur and you want to brand yourself in the marketplace you have to understand that people are buying with their subconscious mind not the rational mind. The “child” inside us is the real buyer. So if you want to be successful in sales, and brand yourself and your business you have to communicate with the childish mind of the consumer. You have to attach your self, your products or services with happy, positive thoughts and feelings. This is going to take some time but the benefits are rewarding. It would be beneficial, if you start watching carefully yourself and what makes you to buy something. Watch your thoughts and reactions to realize how your potential customers will react when you offer them your product or service. The subconscious mind is attracted from the light…Everything that is colorful, bright or even sparkling makes the subconscious mind want to have it. So to brand yourself or your business you have to study carefully your product and work on the direction to attach to it light, positive images, emotions and thoughts.
